As a start-up, change is daily business. After all, we have to grow with you! This time, however, we made a change that is anything but ordinary.
On Friday, March 12, 2021 mindful mission becomes TeamClimate.
We thought long and hard and talked to our families, friends, clients and influencers. Soon it became clear that we need to rethink our name.
Why all this? Well, it’s quite simple.
Inclusivity.
We want our name to be inclusive and understandable to everybody. After all, it's all about our earth and anyone who calls this place home. After explaining to our parents and grandparents five times where we work, it became clear quickly: mindful mission may not catch some people’s ears quite so easily. And that's not because of grandpa's old hearing aid! We are sure: The only right thing is to flatter all ears. It doesn't matter where you come from, how old you are or who you love.
Team spirit.
We can only combat the climate crisis if we all stick together as a team. Our name must represent that this very principle is part of our philosophy. We want to act with united forces and show true team spirit. So: Are you ready? Teamwork makes the dream work! From now on we are proud to present our new feature. Carbon neutral teams can be created. People will be able to join teams to set goals and offset CO2 together.
Domain.
Let’s face it: without a sophisticated online presence, you won't get far nowadays. But frankly, we want to get far. We want to create true change. We want to get as many people as possible to join our team. And for that, among many other things, you need one thing: a .com domain. We have realized that mindfulmission.earth. is uncommon and often causes confusion. We simply don't find it inclusive enough. TeamClimate.com is just sexier and also doesn’t constrain our reach.
Descriptive.
Is mindful mission a yoga platform? Or maybe a meditation app for a mindful lifestyle? We like to call a spade a spade. A descriptive name for a startup is crucial for us. With TeamClimate, we're jumping right in and letting everyone know: Okay, this is definitely about the climate!
Identification.
When we asked ourselves what we stand for, we quickly realized one thing: Christoph, Karim, Jasmin, Natalie, Yannic, Santeri, Timo... We are all different, we all have our special quirks and strengths. But in the end, we are united by one thing: the love for our earth and the will to fight as a team against the climate crisis. We all identified with TeamClimate, despite our differences. Because we love our earth.
And now? The future of TeamClimate.
With our new name, we are even better equipped to make a statement against the climate crisis. We're taking off as a team and can't wait to get as many people on board as possible. We're insanely motivated to do everything we can as TeamClimate to make our home a better place for you and with you.
Speaking of the team, our new name doesn't change the people, values and principles behind mindful mission. We remain mindful, but as a team.
