The Wild Impact Club is a movement for people who want to actively protect biodiversity and restore nature. By purchasing Biodiversity Credits, you help fund real conservation efforts that protect endangered species, restore ecosystems, and preserve vital habitats.
Our first initiative supports the Banco de Hábitat Bosque de Niebla - El Globo, a 340-hectare cloud forest conservation project in Támesis, Colombia. This project is part of a pioneering habitat bank, ensuring that biodiversity thrives for at least 30 years through legally protected conservation efforts.
🌱 80% of global biodiversity loss is caused by habitat destruction.
🦉 Over 1 million species are at risk of extinction.
🌍 Nature loss threatens the balance of life on Earth – including us.
✅ Protecting rare and endangered species like the Spectacled Bear & Yellow-eared Parrot
✅ Reforesting degraded land and restoring natural ecosystems
✅ Preserving a critical water and carbon storage ecosystem
Unlike CO₂ offsetting, biodiversity projects protect entire ecosystems, ensuring long-term sustainability. They also create economic opportunities through eco-tourism and sustainable industries, while biodiversity credits provide funding for conservation. In short, biodiversity projects are essential for a thriving planet, balancing ecological health, climate stability, and sustainable development.
The Banco de Hábitat Bosque de Niebla - El Globo is a 30-year conservation project in Támesis, Colombia, covering 340.11 hectares within the Reserva Natural El Globo. Managed by Terrasos and registered under the Colombian Ministry of Environment, it focuses on preservation (299.35 ha), enhancement (26.73 ha), and restoration (14.03 ha) to protect biodiversity and restore degraded land.
The project is registered under the Colombian Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (MADS) and follows the guidelines of Resolution 1051 of 2017, which regulates habitat banks as a mechanism for biodiversity conservation and environmental compensation. It complies with the P4F Protocol for the Issuance of Voluntary Biodiversity Credits, a methodology developed by Terrasos in collaboration with international experts. To guarantee the integrity of biodiversity credits, the project is monitored through a blockchain-based biodiversity credit registry, ensuring that issued credits are tracked, verified, and cannot be duplicated or misused. The credits are released in phases every two years based on ecological milestones, which are independently assessed to confirm biodiversity gains.
Biodiversity projects are vital for maintaining healthy ecosystems, protecting endangered species, and ensuring climate resilience. They regulate water cycles, purify air, and store carbon, making them a key tool against climate change. By preserving habitats, they safeguard species threatened by deforestation and pollution while also supporting human well-being through clean water, food, and medicine.
