Renewable energy in Maharashtra

The story behind Maharashtra.

India is currently the third largest emitter of climate-damaging greenhouse gases. One reason is the country's high energy consumption — and a large share of electricity is still generated by coal power plants.

You enable clean energy in India by supporting projects that build wind parks. The energy from the turbines substitutes electricity that would otherwise come from coal, lowering the amount of coal burned and avoiding the construction of new coal plants.

Our partners.

We partner with experts to create the best possible impact together. Companies such as SIIL and Sahyadri operate the wind parks in India. These projects are certified by the United Nations (UNFCCC) — giving you insights into our climate protection project on the ground.
