A degraded landscape, regrown from the ground up
In the Indigenous community of Urinsaya Ccollana in Huarocondo, Cusco, decades of erosion, fire and invasive plantations stripped the high Andes of its native forest. This is an ARR project — Afforestation, Reforestation & Revegetation — rebuilding that ecosystem the right way.
Replant with 10 native species
Queñua, chachacomo, qolle, kiswar and more — chosen for the Andean climate, not against it.
Remove invasive eucalyptus & pine
Clearing thirsty, non-native monocultures so native forest and water can return.
Restore soil & water
Sustainable land management that recovers springs and the natural water cycle.

Biodiversity is the heart of everything we plant. Every hectare we restore is an open invitation for Andean wildlife to come home.
Wings come back first
As native flora returns, so do the birds — hummingbirds, siskins, Andean sparrows and the lluthu (mountain partridge) follow the forest home.
Mammals find shelter
Restored habitat draws back Andean foxes, vizcachas, tarucas (Andean deer) and wild purun qowes — species that depend on a healthy, connected ecosystem.
A threatened tree, protected
Among the species we plant is chachacomo (Escallonia resinosa), listed by the IUCN as near threatened. Restoring it directly safeguards an at-risk species.
